Questions
Questions we are often asked
- Can we rent only part of the villa?
- No. The villa is rented in its entirety, to one party at a time — that is the whole idea of the house.
- Is the staff there all day?
- The house manager and the housekeepers are there every day from morning to late afternoon, and the cook prepares breakfast. Evenings are yours; a private chef or an evening service can be arranged.
- How do we get there from the airport?
- Milan Malpensa and Linate are about an hour and a half away by car. The concierge can book a private driver, or a boat from Como for the last stretch.
- Do we need a car?
- Not necessarily: ferries call at every village and the runabout can be booked with its skipper. A car is useful for the mountains and the Valtellina.
- Is the villa suitable for children?
- Yes — cots and high chairs are available. The pool, the dock and the shore are not fenced: children must always be supervised.
- When is the best time to come?
- April and May for wisteria and azaleas; June for hydrangeas and long evenings; July and August for swimming; September and October for the light, the grape harvest and quieter roads.
- What is the CIN shown at the bottom of the page?
- Italy requires every tourist rental to display its national identification code (Codice Identificativo Nazionale). The villa’s code is shown in the footer of every page.
